Linux\Unix software Installion?

I was wondering how do you install new software to a Linux\Unix operating system if you don't have an internet connection

Linux\Unix software Installion?
Assuming you have the Linux/Unix operating system already installed.

Firstly check the installation CD's if they have the software you are lokking for. Generally a large collection of software is packed into the CD's and it is likely that you will find what you are looking for. If not then you will require access to internet.

As a last resort look up any Linux User Groups in your area, these groups have copies of most software CD's and will be glad to let you borrow the CD's.
Reply:Some Linux magazines carry CDs containing Linux distributions (like Ubuntu). Can't remember the names of the magazines, but they're easy to find at many book stores.

I take it you're trying to install Linux? Or do you mean you want to load something into a Linux/Unix system?
