Using linux to access a UNIX based program on a server?

I have an SCO UNIX based scheduling and billing system in my office (CMEDS). My Windows boxes use a translation program (FacetWin) to communicate with the program, which lives in a standalone Acer server. The network is connected by an unmanaged 48 port switch. I would like to access the CMEDS program from my Linux computer(distro Ubuntu 6.06)

Does anyone know how this could be done? I can't get FacetWin to run under WINE. I am assuming that since Linux is a derivative of UNIX, that they can be made to communicate.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
