Reply:No, that is not true. Vista and Unix systems have got nothing technical in common.
Maybe the article just compared some key features of the operating system like user management or security related functions. In that case vista is maybe a little bit closer to UNIX as other windows releases are but still not comparable. Vista and UNIX based system have radical different approaches to achieve their functionality.
But in essence, UNIX and windows based operating systems have nothing in common except that they are both state of the art software products which help you to use your hardware.
