Unix quastion?

i am studind unix myself


but i want to exercise the command's online.So is there aserver's (ip addres) that gives this acces.

there are no free servers on the net which will allow you to telnet to them and log in (this is for security reasons).The best thing you can do is get a unix simulator on windows such as cygwin (http://www.cygwin.com) and install it and practice command line arguments on it..another choice you have is to install a linux diastro on your system using a dual boot ,if you dont want to install linux on your system then go to http://www.ubuntu.com and download the desktop version and write it to a cd,now set your bios settings to hav e the system boot from the cd and when you restart the machine,the system will load linux and you can practise on it

You can use unix simulaters in windows and you can practice unix


commands in windows itself.


cygwin is the best one I know.
Reply:The easiest way would be to use Linux. You can download and install various different distributions for free, and many offer a "live CD" to download - a bootable CD of the OS, which means you don't even have to install it!
